Meet a Member Submission Guidelines...

Any COMB member in good standing can have their own "Meet a Member" page.  Basically, this page is available to do with what you want – within certain guidelines.  Visit a currently implemented "Meet a Member" page to get an idea of the information we need.  The page is divided into three sections: a brief summary section (structured), a photo and a content section (basically, whatever you want).

For the summary, we ask that you supply your contact information, if you want. We also would like to know if you do swarm removal and if you sell hive products.

For the picture, you can submit whatever you want. The picture should follow the "Mugshot Images" specifications in the "COMB Web Site Style Guide". We prefer square images at a 240 x 240 pixel size.  We want to emphasize the size requirements of the images you submit.  If the images don't conform, we may send them back.

For the content section, you can basically do whatever you want. Our ability to handle pictures in the member content section here is very limited, so please try to stick with text. You can tell your story!  Why you are a beekeeper…what you do…share ideas…provide links to whatever…maybe a small map to help your customer find your apiary. Creativity rules!

Once you have everything you need, write it down (using, for example, Microsoft Word or Wordpad).  Then send us an email with that document and any image(s) attached.  We will basically cut-and-paste from your email so double check spelling, etc before you send it.

Finally, the "Meet a Member" page is a member benefit.  If your membership lapses, the club reserves the right to pull your page.
