Photo Gallery Submission Guidelines...

Any COMB member in good standing can submit photos for the “Photo Gallery" page.  We particularly encourage photos that “tell the story” of beekeeping and related activities.  Before you submit photos for a gallery, please visit the current photo galleries and see what is there.  Pay particular attention to the page layout, the descriptive text and photo captions.  Find a good gallery and follow that example in preparing your submission.

For the photos, we need a “thumbnail” which will go on the ”Photo Gallery” page and the individual photo(s) that will go in the gallery.  Please follow the COMB Web Site Style Guide when preparing your photos.  Failure to do so may result in a return of your submission.  Basically, the thumbnail should be 75 x 75 pixels in size; the gallery photos should be around 640 x 480 pixels (or smaller).

We also need a brief gallery title that will go next to the thumbnail.  Then we need a slightly more detail description that will go at the top of the gallery page.  Finally, we ask that you prepare captions for each photo the “tell the story”.

When you have all this stuff pulled together, send it via email to web@comb-bees.org.  In summary, we need to know...

Member Name:

Brief Title:

Gallery Description:

Photo #1 Caption:

Photo #2 Caption:

etc

Then attach to the email the following...

Thumbnail image (75 x 75 pixels)

Photo #1 (640 x 480, max size):  (Be sure to identify which photo goes with each caption)

Photo #2

etc

For convenience, you can copy the lines above and paste these into your email when you submit a photo gallery entry.

Finally, the "Photo Gallery" page is a member benefit.  If your membership lapses, the club reserves the right to pull your gallery page.
